Spring Falls - Fine Art Print
Springtime runoff combines into a crashing, thunderous waterfall.
On a springtime hike with a friend, we encountered these falls thundering with heavy spring runoff. I’ve always been fascinated with the break point in a waterfall, where the water transforms from peaceful flowing to white tearing as it drops; water is heavy! In this instance the impact of the water shook the ground. I wanted to draw it, but there was a big cedar tree growing directly between the falls and my vantage point; and shifting to a different vantage point would risk a fall myself. Not to worry—I just left it out of the drawing.
