On the first day of spring, the sun wakens its own peaceful choir of light on Idaho's Lake Pend Oreille. I wanted to capture that eye-watering moment when the sun actually breaks over the horizon, with all the mist and silhouetted magic of dawn. I love that moment full of power and potential. And filled with that power, in the dawn I’ve climbed the tallest peak in this drawing a number of times, and been down by lunchtime.
