Three Grand Firs are silently cloaked with falling snow.

I was snowshoeing up behind the house and came across these three Grand Firs growing together in the draw. Fresh snow gave their boughs a crisp distinctness without being thick enough to weigh them down, while the opposite slope was blanketed in snow that came up to my hip (ask me how I know this.) The trees’ dark trunks were like pillars in a world of blank and delicate white.
