The Teton Range in western Wyoming has been described as "what mountains are supposed to look like." On my first attempt to climb the South and Middle Tetons, my two oldest daughters and I were turned back by bad weather. It was disappointing, but safer and not at all uncommon. On the way down, though, I turned and saw the storm was making wonderful patterns of light along the peaks around me. That's where this drawing was born. The title might be about where we are vs. where we're aiming. It may also refer to the power that mighty peaks have on those who visit them. It makes them tremble.
